The billionaire has made it plain that he intends to reduce Twitter’s reliance on advertising. And increase its reliance on subscriptions ever since rumors of Musk buying Twitter first surfaced. According to recent media rumors, Musk will charge $20 a month for blue tick verification, but the entrepreneur has subsequently denied this.
The blue tick is now unattached. Users merely need to supply the required supporting paperwork and the verification form that Twitter provides for all users. Following that, Twitter’s specialized verification team verifies all the data given by the user and notifies them of the success or failure of the verification.
According to Musk, there is currently no information on when the higher charges for blue tick verification will go into effect. Furthermore, he has not expressly said that all services will be included in the $8 membership level. The blue membership will give the company “a revenue stream to reward content suppliers,” according to the billionaire.
