And while we don’t know where all the fireworks will be just yet, there are some places that are staple on the New Year’s Eve in Dubai calendar. So, whether you’re looking to chill out beachside or at a restaurant, here are the best places to watch fireworks in Dubai this New Year’s Eve 2020.
Burj Al Arab Jumeirah fireworks
Black Palace Beach
For a different perspective of the Burj Al Arab’s New Year firework show, and a less of a crowd, head to Black Palace Beach. Located behind Al Sufouh Park, the beach shows off great views of the display, and you’ll even be able to see the Atlantis fireworks as well. Two spectacular shows along one uncrowded beach spot? That should be a New Year’s achievement.

Kite Beach
This long-stretch of beach is especially popular with families, as it’s casual, relaxed – and best of all it’s free. It’s one of the best places to relax and watch the return of the Burj Al Arab’s fantastic firework display

Souk Al Bahar and The Dubai Mall
Get ready to celebrate the arrival of 2021 in spectacular style, as the world-famous Burj Khalifa New Year’s Eve firework display has been confirmed. Downtown Dubai is preparing for a super spectacle this New Year’s Eve – with a huge fireworks and laser show to ring in 2021. The massive New Year’s Eve gala, that Dubai is well-known and loved for, will take place again this year in Downtown Dubai and will be broadcast live globally. If you’re looking to see the fireworks live, head to one of the many restaurants at The Dubai Mall or Souk Al Bahar, but be prepared to splash out.
Souk Madinat Jumeirah
Expect the stretch of beach along Jumeirah to be abuzz with its fantastic New Year’s Eve fireworks display when the clock chimes midnight, and there are plenty of places where you can get a front row seat.

Palm Jumeirah Boardwalk
If your budget doesn’t extend to a massive dinner, take a walk along this 11km along the crescent of the Palm while the fireworks go off. If you make your way to the west side, you’ll even see the Burj Al Arab fireworks kicking off as well.

Ras Al Khaimah
Ushering in the new year with a massive fireworks show is Ras Al Khaimah. The Organising Committee for Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve Celebrations has announced that one the world’s largest pyrotechnics performances will take place this year in the emirate. There will be fireworks over a 4km-stretch of the sea near Al Marjan Island, all timed to music for a ten-minute performance. For the first time, the New Year celebrations will be held without public viewing areas and activities. However, hotel guests in Al Hamra Village and Al Marjan island will be able to watch the display, following strict safety guidelines. Anyone can watch the display at home with live broadcast on television and online at www.raknye.com.
The Pointe
This dining destination sweeps around the coastline of the Palm facing Atlantis The Palm and there are sure to be some super sights this New Year’s Eve – whether it’s from The Palm Fountain or Atlantis The Palm (timings / location to be confirmed – stick close to timeoutdubai.com).

Town Square Dubai
Town Square Dubai is throwing a huge festive bash this New Year’s Eve, with fireworks to boot. As well as live performers and entertainment, there will be loads of attractions for the whole family – all rounded off with a huge six-minute firework display at midnight. There will also be loads of food stalls serving up tasty snacks.
